The strongest advantage of G+ over Facebook is the Circle.
Using the Circle, you can choose who to show your postings/news and who not to. This is the G+’s own merit.
However this seems at risk. Facebook has recently updated a similar function: Smart lists.
If you write a post, you can now choose whether to send it to
“Close friends” or “Friend” (see in the circle)
With this new function, Facebook users are, to some degree, able to keep their privacy.
However, will this be enough to prevent its users from switching to G+? I feel that Facebook has hurridely updated this function in a reaction to G+ Circle.
We don’t simply group people into “Close friends” or “Friends” or “Acquaintance”. It is more complicated, and G+ Circle allows us to manage this complication through the Circle.
Facebook needs more updating to catch up with the Circle.
