Putting it in the ‘Too Hard’ Basket

Since the unveiling of Google Plus, there was some, although not much, buzz about it on my Facebook newsfeed.  Being a curious person I decided to take a peek at the “future of social media”.  Although the navigational introduction seems to be quite straight forward, I personally found it overwhelming and confusing.  My technological incompetence has been coddled by Facebook and the way it handholds through technological enhancements, changing and adding features slowly and with plenty of warning.

I took to the internet to find more information on how Google Plus works and stumbled across Dan Rowinski’s blog, aptly named ‘How To Use Google Plus’

It served to answer some questions I had about Google Plus, but it too was somewhat overwhelming.  I have a feeling though, that my incompetence with Google Plus may be driven by my lack of motivation to understand it.   At this point in time I’m satisfied with Facebook, and don’t have the time (or if I’m going to be honest, am too lazy) to teach myself how to use Google Plus.  Perhaps if they had started on a more basic level, I would be more inclined to stick with it.
